I am a Professor for Banking and Financial Systems at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg (OVGU) and Deputy Head of the Financial Markets Department at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH). At the IWH, I coordinate the research group Financial System Adaptability and Resilience. My work is empirical, focused on banking and financial intermediation.
